Which makes me more than 16 years old!!! This is how I looked when they told me:
As me & Willow got adopted together (because I'm Willow's mum), it would also have been Willow's Gotcha Day today too. She would have been more than 15 years old. We all miss her so much xxx
You will always be in our hearts, our special angel. Love from Mummy Pippin, and your human mummy & daddy. xxxx
A senior lady like me needs to take it easy at this time of year; after all, I have to prepare for all those presents I'm going to receive.
I'll let you into a secret: We both fell over and this was us trying to look like it was deliberate. But really, who sits down on wet frosty grass?! We weren't fooling anyone.
It is with broken hearts that we share the news that our beautiful, gentle Willow passed away yesterday afternoon in the sunshine of the garden. We all sat with her on her blanket as she slept in the sun, surrounded by all her favourite toys, and hugged and kissed her as she slipped gently to her peace.
We adopted Wizzy & Pip ten and half years ago from the National Animal Welfare Trust when Wizzy was 4 and Pip was 5. In those years Wizzy brought us so much joy and happiness, made us laugh with her love of stinky puddles and fox poop, and was unconditionally devoted to Pippin - her mum and best friend. Their relationship was so, so special.
We often called Wizzy "The Feather", as she was truly the gentlest, most sensitive soul you could imagine, a peaceful little angel who reminded us to enjoy the simple things in life like a nap in the sun, running through chest-high corn fields, or a nice tasty carrot. Life just won't be the same without her. We will miss her always, but we'll be forever grateful that we were lucky enough to adopt her.
Our precious Willow. Rest in peace beautiful girl. We will love you always.
