It may well be 35 degrees in Australia, but while Chloe is sunning herself on holiday, we thought we would remind her of what she has to look forward to on her return...minus 3 degrees anyone?
What? A cafe which sells hand made dog treats alongside all the human stuff? We want to live in Perth! A measly bowl of water simply won't cut it now that cousin Scooter has shown us how they do it over there. And surely that raisin toast is for us too, no?
Scooter has been out and about showing Achim (Chloe's husband) the sights of Perth. First up, Kings Park, with its great views over the city, but a disappointing lack of lizards.
Cousin Scooter, from Down Under, can't chase squirrels. There aren't any. So instead he chases a thing called lizards, in particular ones called Bob Tails. He's obsessed with them. Sometimes he runs into the sand dunes and goes temporarily deaf while he hunts them down. Temporary deafness is a terrible affliction. We know, because it comes upon us when we see cats, next door's dog (grrrr) and horse manure. Tragic condition really. We feel for Scooter.
A Bob Tail Skink. Think we'll stick to squirrels.
We think Cousin Scooter is brilliant. He likes to be unique. Instead of swimming, he prefers to lie in the sand and let the waves go all over his head. The other dogs think he's barking mad, but we know he's just saving his energy for digging all those holes. Sensibe dog.
We're super jealous of cousin Scooter, who gets to run on this beach with loads of his dog pals every day. Mind you, he doesn't get to roll in fox poop and eat horse manure. You win some, you lose some.
